Grateful Hearts Portraits

I just wanted to take this opportunity to say! to all the wonderful artists that have volunteered to paint portraits for the Grateful Hearts Project.  It is very rewarding to know that I belong to a profession that is so giving and ready to help when needed.  When I first started the project, I was looking at the daunting task of not only finding time myself to paint the portraits but how to get the word out to not only the families but other artists.  I am happy to say we are succeeding on both these fronts.

What a wonderful profession we have chosen-or perhaps it has chosen us. In any event, thanks to all the artists who have stepped up to volunteer.  Also if you know of anyone who would like to sponsor a soldier for the framing and shipping costs just send them my way.

Again, thank you and God Bless!

I saw this in an article before concerning the portrait work done for enlisted military members. One...I am a veteran. Two, even though I don't reside in the Kansas City area, I am a fellow Missourian. (Carthage, MO). Three, I specialize in pen and ink portraits. I am interested in donating...but when I checked out the caring hearts site...it no longer was availbable. What can I do to be a contributing artist for a worthy cause?
